All is Well

What a happy little birdie. Standing on a post with his chest all puffed up. "Life is good. It's great to be me."

  4. Not to be confused with the "All is well" in the song "Come Come Ye Saints." I had to explain the difference not too long ago. Poor little birdie!

  6. Love this, MMM. It's something that has been in my thoughts a great deal lately due to circumstances that have rung close to home. Thank you!

  7. Snake's thinking, "man, I wish I had a good apricot port wine sauce to go with this".

  8. MMM is thinking, "I wonder why TGR knows so much about wine?"

  10. Regarding the wine, I'm just a brilliant Google Master. I am, however, quite the connoisseur of Gatorade.

As I've thought a little on this while working, it's piqued my curiosity. Do you think we as church members are more susceptible to the wiles of the devil when we're feeling puffed up and prideful and not paying attention? Or do you think he does most of his damage when we are feeling weak and uncertain and all too painfully aware of his influence?

  11. Moral of the story...Watch the chest puffing.

  12. TGR, I think, a little of both! In either situation we wouldn't be living closely with the Spirit (fear is not of God, after all) so we would be in danger.

  15. So according to the song, it's only ok to think all is well when things are bad? It's thinking that all is well when things seem to be good that gets you.

  16. Or, in the immortal words of Han Solo:

    "Great, kid. Don't get cocky."

  18. The snake is only going after the bird because he couldn't eat anymore Cheetos after finding the crucifix in his snack. That tends to be off putting..
