ReplyDeleteDang. I do have 2 things in common with him-great hair and self deprecating sense of humor. Maybe I should change my name to Dieter...
ReplyDeleteDo it! I double-dog dare you. (Serious breach of protocol)
ReplyDeleteWhat does it mean that, when one of the congregational hymns on Saturday was "How Firm a Foundation" I thought of this blog and your Yoo-Hoo post?
ReplyDeletePerhaps it means that you should consider counseling. (?)
ReplyDeleteI love this post!!! During conference my five-year-old son, Charlie, wanted to color a picture of Pres. Uchtdorf from a printout I gave him...a little while later, we looked down and Charlie had made President Uchtdorf into Frankenstein. Yet another reason why he's super cool-he can look just like my kids very favorite monster!
ReplyDeleteHe really does have great hair... doesn't seem fait that he is so handsome, dashing, funny AND a spiritual giant.
ReplyDelete*fair
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and deciding to stay for a while! I love this post! Pres. Uchtdorf is one of my heroes.

Ha ha, my Mormon crush just got way bigger! Thanks a lot.
ReplyDeleteHis teeth sparkle when he smiles. *DING*
ReplyDelete"Awesome German accent. (Sometimes sounds like Hans Gruber)"
ReplyDeleteYes, awesome accent, but he reminds me of someone else. Someone else who inspires me to call Elder Uchdorf "The Counselulator."
I love how he is personally destroying so many German stereotypes of hard faced sticklers just by living his life happily.
ReplyDeleteYup. President Uchdorf. Our family pin-up boy. Changing German stereotypes for all time, one talk and photo op at a time. Love that man!!!
ReplyDeleteBeing a pilot myself...I am on the edge of my seat until he finally finds a way to bring aviation into each of his talks!
ReplyDeleteHe is stinkin' awesome. Hope that isn't a SSW...
Love this and your blog! I didn't know he had escaped from East Germany before the Berlin Wall came down. He is a man of great courage. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteDid you see where the let him fly one of the Blue Angels jets last week! AWESOME
ReplyDeleteI knew he was cooler than me, now I know why.
ReplyDeleteHe escaped before the wall went up...
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Just re-listened to his talk this morning.
I understand people (read: the sisters) occasionally refer to him as "the silver fox." I vacillate between thinking "how disrespectful!" and trying to repress an urge to laugh.
ReplyDelete#7 is my favorite. I just think its funny some one else noticed ;)
ReplyDeletePres. Uchtdorf's my number one silver fox! http://momtheintern.blogspot.com/2012/03/i-have-thing-for-attractive-gray-haired.html
ReplyDeleteHe has inside jokes with people he hasn't even met
ReplyDeleteBigfoot has a picture of him
His blood smells like cologne
The police often question him, just because the find him fascinating
His charm is so contagious, vaccines have been created for it
He is the most interesting man in the world
"I don't ever drink beer,...that's all"
Stay faithful my friends
All I can think of when I see him is a darling little old lady I met who liked to call him Elder Hunk-dorf.
ReplyDeleteI love Elder Uchtdorf, but I can't see a picture of him or talk about him with a straight face because I always think of this darling elderly lady who liked to call him Elder Hunk-dorf.
ReplyDeleteHe was my stake-pres when I got baptized back in '91. :D The whole family is super nice.
ReplyDeleteDid you hear about his talk in the Regional Conference for Davis County? There was a mention of someone falling asleep in church and he said, Cchurch sleep is one of the healthiest." My husband has made that his mantra.
ReplyDeleteThat just makes him even cooler!
I heart President Uchtdorf. Really nice man and yes, ridiculously great hair.

LOL! Perfect summation Chris!
I often refer to him as "President McDreamy" much to the chagrin of some and the amusement of others.
ReplyDelete11. Doesn't have a need to project himself as some well of wisdom through a ridiculous blog.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that!
